Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Several Special Interest Groups (SIGs) have been formed to look specifically at certain issues relevant to the Network. As CIAN wants to encourage these but does not want CIAN to disintegrate into splinters, terms of reference have been agreed for such groups. These differ from Discussion Groups in that there is generally a defined output that a SIG is aiming to produce in the form of an audit programme or guidance document.

Past SIGs have been:

  • Overseas Projects
  • Outsourcing activities (OSSIG) - produced an audit checklist for reviewing outsourced activities. House to House Fundraising - considered proposed changes to Gaming Board regulations and supported members in submitting a response to proposed changes.
  • Fraud Response Plans - this SIG produced guidelines that can be downloaded here.
