In the meantime, my furlough time allows me to do all those big jobs around the house and in the garden which I would not otherwise have time to do! No complaints so far, but it's early days.

Yes, our small Internal Audit unit has been furloughed for the short-term, mainly because senior managers and directors are really busy responding to the COVID-19 crisis and don't have time to engage into any planned audits. Some other teams across the organisation have also been furloughed for a variety of reasons. The offer of HM Government money is helping to alleviate the hit being taken by fundraising income, so there is a sensible rationale. We hope to back in action soon!
