Charity Fraud Report 2022: protecting your charity in uncertain times

With the cost of living crisis affecting everyone in the UK, the risk of fraud in charities is likely to increase. Please do read through this excellent report by BDO and Fraud Advisory Panel that highlights that 55% of reported frauds were perpetrated by staff and volunteers, and 56% of frauds were detected by internal controls and whistleblowing, so fraud awareness is key to protecting your charity:
