The Small Audit Function Special Interest Group (SIG) exists to support CIAN members who are in teams of fewer than two people, or who are establishing a new internal audit function within their organisation.
We are a supportive and friendly network who meet regularly; as well as sharing information and providing ongoing advice and support to each other.
Over the course of the past year, we have discussed a wide variety of topics focused around the challenges of providing an internal audit function with limited resources.
Our meetings always include a discussion on a current topical issue as well as a discussion around a current issue in the internal audit cycle.
Topics discussed over the past year include: organisational culture, compliance with IIA Standards for small audit functions, safeguarding, IT, cyber and digital, audit resourcing, internal audit strategy, Audit Committee effectiveness and internal audit planning.
We welcome new members to be part of our network.
